A little about me...

I am a married, mother of two, beautiful rainbow babies, meticulous organizer, classically trained Chef, and here to share all of my homemaking tips with you! We just bought our dream home in the San Francisco, Bay Area, so I'll also be sharing my home design & decor journey as we get settled, and begin to make this house a home!

As the name of this blog suggests, I am a (modern) homemaker. I love a well kept home, and well fed family! In my early twenties, I studied classic French cuisine at Le Cordon Bleu. I have always, and will always, love to cook. However, as a busy mom to two under 3, who also works full time outside of the home... I don't exactly have all the time in the world to spend creating culinary masterpieces every night. I look for shortcuts, and love quick, easy recipes that will be a hit with the entire crew (especially my extremely picky 3 year old!).

I also have a slightly obsessive passion for organizing! An organized home, is a more functional home. In today's busy world, we homemakers HAVE to keep things clean and organized. When you open up a drawer or door, the last thing you want to do is waste time, searching for what you need. Good organization habits help you save time that can later be spent on much more important things. Everything has a place, and everything in its place!
